Before I was a filmmaker,
I was just a kid with a camera.
I was that kid who always needed to create something. Creating is who I am, and film is how I show it. I’ve always been driven by the urge to try something, make something, tell something. My family unknowingly sparked that creativity early on, and I didn’t realize it then, but those moments were already shaping the director I’m still becoming today.

Because I Have To is a short documentary about the moments that shaped me, the people who believed in me, the family who sparked my creativity, and the constant pull to keep creating no matter what. It’s a love letter to the process, to growing up, and to finding purpose through storytelling. This film captures the heart behind everything I make, a reminder that I don’t create because I want to, but because I have to.
Building a Brand
I didn’t just want to make films, I wanted to create something bigger to hold them. That’s how Sol Studios started. Born in Phoenix and now based in Los Angeles, it began as a way to get my own projects off the ground and quickly grew into more. A team, a brand, and a space to tell stories in every form. From films to weddings, real estate, and commercial work, Sol Studios became proof that storytellers can also be builders.
Film has a way of bringing people together unlike anything else. Every project I’ve worked on has introduced me to new collaborators who’ve become close friends. People who share the same drive, curiosity, and belief in what storytelling can do. Whether it’s long nights editing in a crowded apartment, celebrating at festivals, or creating something out of nothing with a team that believes in the same vision, these are the moments that remind me why I love filmmaking. The community I’ve found through film has shaped me just as much as the stories we tell together.

I want to direct films that inspire people, build Sol Studios into a home for other storytellers, and keep exploring where creativity and technology meet. The future feels wide open, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
